The St. Paul Cartoonist Conspiracy Cell has, over the last two months, consecutively beaten its own attendance record! We aren’t as big as Minneapolis and definitely don’t have all of the “resources” to “fly in” the stars that our sister does (see David Lloyd appearing at the last Minneapolis jam), but maybe some day “the little cell that could” will shock the hell out of the Twin Cities comics scene. You never know what September might bring, right!?

Danno Klonowski, organizer of the Minneapolis/St. Paul Cartoonist Conspiracy’s 24 Hour Comic Day, asked me to do the poster for this year’s local event. He’s yet to give me the thumbs up on it, as I just sent it to him, but I wanted to post it now, since I’d probably forget later. This is obviously a homage to Jim Steranko’s awesome Nick Fury Agent of Shield #4 cover from the late 60s. Take a peek here.

Well, it took me long enough to get back on track! I hope to get a lot more of this book posted in the near future. However, I’m finishing the pages as I post them, so expect an erratic posting schedule.

Back on track! Hopefully, at least. Looking back, I’m really surprised that it really took me seven months to get working on chapter two. Talk about a slacker! It’s strange to look at page twenty and then the beginning of chapter two and get a sense of how much your art can change. Even my lettering is different. When/if this gets printed, I may have to go back through and, at the very least, re-letter some of the pages.

Good news folks. Super Maxi-Pad Girl #2 arrived this weekend from the printers and will be available for sale at the MCBA Fallcon on October 10th and 11th. After then, they will be slowly distributed to indie friendly comic shops around the United States!

We’re getting there folks. I’d like to be producing more pages per week. However, I’ve been busy with other things, non-comic related, that are pretty important. In the meantime, I will post as often as I can. Which at the very least will be one per week.

This train just keeps on rolling! Three days in a row! Although, in the grand scheme of things, being excited about posting a new comic page three days in a row is really nothing to get excited about. I can’t wait to get this whole book done! That will be something to be truly excited about!
