Where the hell have all the posts been?

Monday, May 11th, 2009

Wow! It’s been nearly two weeks since I’ve posted here! That’s bad. I’ve been busy. As you can probably tell by the lack of the last few installments of the bewilderedkidiverse finale.

I really wish I had some images to show for the things I’ve been working on recently. First, and the primary reason I’ve dropped everything, is that I am working on lettering, inks, and post-production for a comic entitled “False Witness! The Michele Bachmann Story.”

This is a story that is NOT for fans of Bachmann. Bill Prendergast is producing, writing, and doing a majority of the pencils for the comic. You can check out a page of the book at Biased Liberal Media Dot Com. Bill along with Ken Avidor run the Dump Bachmann Blog. Other collaborators are, the aforementioned Ken Avidor, Lupi Miguinti and Danno Klonowski.

Other projects that I’ve been working on, that have killed time for my own work are t-shirt designs. I’m in the preliminary stages of creating a t-shirt for former Ring of Honor heavyweight champion Austin Aries. And just this weekend, I put together two designs for two pilates t-shirts as well.

SO, with that being said, I SWEAR I will have some images up here soon. I still have the last St. Paul Conspiracy Jam to scan as well, which I’ve been getting crap about. Just be patient, everything will fall into place.

St. Paul Cartoonist Conspiracy Jams - April and May 2009

Tuesday, May 26th, 2009

I failed to scan in last month’s St. Paul Cartoonist Conspiracy Jam in a timely manner, so you will get double your pleasure this month! Beware that each jam is a PDF that weighs in at a respectable 4 MB. The theme for the April 2009 jam was “The Fury of Facebook and Lost in the Wilderness.” May’s jam is entitled “Wolverine On Ice and Off Broadway Batman: The Superheroes Take to the Stage.”

Enjoy!

The Amazing Post-It Spider-Man (Amazing Post-It Fantasy #15)

Friday, May 29th, 2009

I’ve been kind of neglecting the site as I’ve had a load of projects to work on, but I promise to make up for it. In addition to everything else I’ve been doing, I’ve been working on a series of crudely created Amazing Spider-Man cover homages aptly titled “The Amazing Post-It Spider-Man.” All covers are drawn on Post-It notes using only office supplies such as Bic brand pens, mechanical pencils, Sharpie brand markers and highlighters, and Papermate Flair pens.

These are pretty easy to crank out, so I’ll try to post as many as possible in a timely manner. My goal is to finish all of the Amazing Spider-Man comic covers including all annual issues (without any captions or titles other than the main title) in a little over a year.

Wish me luck!

To kick things off I felt it necessary to start with Spidey’s first appearance in Amazing Fantasy #15.
